Monday Love to your Dearly Departed

“ Our breath is brief, and being so Let’s make our heaven here below, And lavish kindness as we go.”

 ~ Robert Service.

If you read last week’s note, you know that my Dear Old Dad headed off to The Last Roundup four days shy of his 94th birthday so I’m up in Oregon with my daughter settling his affairs.

He was a true creature of the Old West, so if you’re so inclined, please listen to my recent Americana and Prairie Crooners mix to understand our family roots.

If you care to delve deeper, give a listen to The Cremation of Sam McGee, Dad’s favorite poem by “The Bard of the Yukon” Robert Service as recited by Hank Snow.

Maybe you have some meaningful words or music that will bring you closer to a dearly departed relative, or better yet with one who has yet to pass.
